Hi, I’m Lindsey and I created this bakery and recipe blog so I can share my favorite recipes and desserts with you! I am the baker and owner of Sugar Magnolia Cakes in Oakland, California. I sell my cakes and desserts in the bay area under the Cottage Food Law, which allows me to bake from my licensed home kitchen and sell my goods to local residents. So many people in the world struggle with food intolerances or have dietary restrictions. My goal is to provide you with the tastiest recipes that are friendly for all types of diets and lifestyles. I bake a variety of desserts that include, but are not limited to: gluten free, grain free, dairy free, egg free, nut free, vegan and raw vegan. My recipe blog is tailored so that you can find recipes categorized by meal type. You can also search by dietary restrictions or preferences. All of my recipes and baked goods are inspired by what is local and in season. Many of us already know how important it is to eat healthy, whole foods on a regular basis. However, it is much more difficult to put it into action and maintain it over time. My goal is not to follow one specific fad diet, but to include recipes from all types of healthful eating approaches so that there is variety. I’m a big believer that moderation is the key to living a healthy life. Every once in a while, we need something comforting and decadent to really hit the spot.
